Together we’ll explore Jesus’ teachings of the Beatitudes through the lens of Wisdom teachings and inspired by the work of Richard Rohr and Cynthia Bourgeault. This teaching will be surrounded with a rhythm of silence, chanting, centering prayer, conscious work, reflection, movement and sharing from the heart.

Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 9:30 am - 5:30 pm Pacific Time. Lunch is included and there is an optional community breakfast at 8:00 am.

About this Contemplative Offering

We’ll explore Jesus’ Beatitudes as living guides to conscious participation in these challenging times.

This Wisdom Practice Retreat is for those interested in moving deeply into the seminal teachings of Jesus and how one might transform understanding from the “Eye of the Heart” rather than from our usual mental perception. We will explore what it is for each of us to do in order to bring hope and healing to our weary and frightened world.

Live in Person Event with Virtual teachings by Heather Ruce.

Heather Ruce, MA will offer the primary teachings. She is a Wisdom Teacher and Spiritual Director following the teaching lineage of Cynthia Bourgeault.

Mary Ann Evans, Ph.D. will serve as the day-long retreat facilitator. She is also a long time wisdom student of Cynthia Bourgeault and a graduate from Richard Rohr’s Living School.

The suggested cost of $50. Let Mary Ann know if finances are a challenge and we will see what we can work out. There are a limited number of places available to keep this as an intimate gathering.
