These Movements are interpretations of sacred temple dances and rituals Gurdjieff had seen and studied during his travels to monasteries in Asia and Africa. He saw them as a means by which ancient wisdom is preserved and passed down to future generations. Through their embodied symbolic language beyond our thinking mind, a deeper perception arises. Although there are different kinds of Gurdjieff Movements: ritual, prayers, dervish dances, mathematical patterns, etc., the objective of them all is that they are prayers. Gurdjieff saw them as medicine. As one works with these Movements, one can learn to listen to all three centers (mind, feeling, body), and find an inner balance in the midst of challenge that can be useful to return to in one's life.

The dates of the Advent Class are Wednesdays from 3-4:15pm Pacific Time on November 30th, December 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. Presence in all sessions is preferred but at least three of the five is required.

The cost of each class (which includes 5 sessions) is $50-$100 for the 5 weeks.
